There are two main types of solar collectors;
[i] Flat plate panels that combine light weight, high performance, reliability and excellent value for money.
[ii] Evacuated tubes that employ vacuum-sealed glass with a high technical specification to reduce heat losses.

A 3m AES flat plate panel shown in situ on a roof. Double glazing using a Tedlar outer and a Teflon inner allows maximum light in to the collector whilst keeping the weight to a minimum.

Solartwin flat plate collectors deliver solar heated water directly to the existing hot water cylinder. An integral solar powered pump circulates the water within the easily installed system .

Evacuated tubes, such as these NEG ones, are installed in arrays of 4 or 6 tube units. Within the vacuum tube a water/ anti-freeze mix circulates between two concentric pipes, collecting heat from the absorber strip.
