Studio
gets an upgrade...
The the basic handling sequence
of the audio and instrument lines is now as follows;
At the heart of the Studio is the latest & fastest new
Pentium 4 PC fitted
with M Audio Midiman digital audio recording cards.
I have had two 120 gig drives fitted as s a lot of disc space is
required when recording.
I am running the latest versions of Steinberg’s Cubase
SX and Wavelab 5 recording software. But I still have an Atari 4 MB and
monitor from earlier times that still runs Cubase V3 (in b&w)
very effectively...
The vocal booth is big enough
a couple of
performers and singers. The main vocal microphone is a Langevin CR3A which
handles all kinds of vocals and we use the industry standard Beyer DT100
headphones for monitoring. From the vocal booth the signal reaches the
Art Tube pre-amps before being taken to the Behringer MX8000 24 track
mixer then into the Cubase SX for
mixing and further processing.
There is little traffic or noise pollution here so we can record
almost any time of the day or night.
All this together means we can record a complete CD and Master for
copying whatever your requirements - contact us for a
quote.
Two of
our recently completed CD recording
projects
have now found their way onto the retailers' shelves...
